Emergance of Two Superstars

Aubrey Huff-Josh Phelps. When most people incorporated with the IBC hear that as the Marlins heart of the order, they just say decent, but nothing special. Well Mr.Huff and Mr.Phelps have something to say about that. So far Huff is hitting .382 with a great .432 OBP with Phelps hitting a .890 OPS and 3 HR's. Oh yeah one more thing Huff is only 26 and Phelps is only 25. If these two stay together they could become one of the scariest middle of orders.

Marlins at .500 after 14 games

The Marlins are 7-7 so far early this season. Led by great late inning hitting and the masterful Scott Eyre in the bullpen, this team has been able to squeak out some close ones. The Marlins started off with a dismal 2-5 week where nothing seemed to go right. However a 6-1 week has many people asking could this team be for real. Well that is for time to tell, but most people in the Marlins orginization feel this team is prepared to make a run at the post-season. With the additions of Kaz Ishii, Roberto Alomar, and Kevin Appier, they add more pitching depth and veteran leadership to help out the youth of this team. Some players are still struggling though including young gun Brad Penny who most in the orginization are hoping can turn his bad start around and become the #1 this staff needs.
